Formnext Asia Shenzhen 2026 counts down to its largest edition to date, with international pre-registrations on the rise

20 Aug 2026

Next week, Formnext Asia Shenzhen will open the doors on its most substantial edition to date. Taking place from 26 – 28 August 2026, the fair will occupy 20,000 sqm in Hall 15 of the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center and welcome 330 exhibitors. Visitor pre-registration has also risen considerably compared with the same point last year, with international visitor pre-registrations increasing by more than 50%. The fringe programme will feature 12 forums and other activities, including five new additions examining major areas of opportunity for additive manufacturing across Asia and the Greater Bay Area. Topics will include AM applications for humanoid robotics and AI data centre cooling, as well as 3D printed footwear and Shenzhen’s growing desktop AM ecosystem.

The show floor will bring together materials, printers and hardware, software, inspection tools and post-processing equipment for industrial 3D printing, with leading names such as Addireen, AmPro, Avimetal AM, Bambu Lab, Bright Laser Technologies, CNPC, Creality, DEW, EASYMFG, Elegoo, ENIGMA, eSUN, Farsoon, FastForm, Haitian, Han's Photonics, Hans Matrix3D, HBD, Home-Link Eco-iTech, HP, Kings 3D, PollyPolymer, Raise3D, SUNLU, UnionTech, Uprise 3D, Vilory, Zengyi, Zhongyuan Advanced Material and ZRapid returning to the fair.

A wave of first-time exhibitors will also be making their debut at the show, including EPSON, GLB, GS-Eagle Intelligent, HanSun, Hi 3D, InfiMaker, JINGTIAN CENTURY, JLC 3D, Jucoole, KINGFA, lanxiaodu, LayerCube, Lixfab, MAKERA, Meshy AI, NanFang Additive, Nantong Qiangsheng Graphene, R3D, SHENYUAN GROUP, Snapmaker, SUNGALLON, TÜV Rheinland Greater China, Wankai New Materials and Xhorse3D.

The fair will also expand its coverage of desktop additive manufacturing through the 3D Print Farm and Consumer Products Zone. The number of exhibitors participating in the zone has doubled compared with 2025. It will feature desktop printers, materials, software and production solutions for individual users, product developers, print farms and small-scale manufacturers.

International exhibitors from Germany, Japan, Singapore and the US will take part, alongside an International Pavilion bringing together companies from France, Germany, South Korea and Spain. The exhibition will include a dedicated pavilion for exhibitors from Jiangsu, another of China’s major manufacturing provinces, as well as a Start-up Area for emerging AM companies.

New forums highlight developing applications for AM across Asia
Five new forums in Formnext Asia Shenzhen’s fringe programme will examine promising AM applications emerging across Asia. These will cover AI and data centres, robotics and embodied intelligence, and commercial aviation and aerospace. Further subjects will include AM in mould making, binder jetting for 3C electronics and smartphones, and laser-based additive manufacturing.

The China 3D Print Farm Conference, which has attracted strong audiences since its launch in 2024, will return for a third edition in an expanded format as the China 3D Print Farm and Consumer-Grade AM Ecosystem Conference. Sessions will address the technologies and commercial activities supporting the desktop 3D printing market, from AI-assisted modelling, equipment, materials and production management to brand development, cross-border e-commerce and applications in toys, fashion, footwear and small-batch manufacturing.

Two further additions are Formnext Asia Shenzhen Maker Day, co-organised with TroubleMaker, a Shenzhen maker and hardware development community, and the Global Channel Partner & Dealer Business Matching Meeting. Maker Day will include open-mic sessions, curated exhibitor tours and off-site factory visits, while the business matching meeting will bring Chinese AM companies together with international distributors, dealers and channel partners to develop new partnerships.

The fair will also debut the International 3D Printed Footwear Design Awards, with awards to be presented to selected entries from more than 100 submissions in categories covering footwear design, brands, printers, materials, cultural impact and sustainability. The entries will be assessed by a panel of international judges from the AM and footwear industries, led by Ms Nicoline van Enter, founder of Footwearology, an international innovation and education platform for the footwear industry.

Formnext Asia Shenzhen and PCIM Asia Shenzhen run concurrently
Running alongside Formnext Asia Shenzhen will be another Messe Frankfurt fair, PCIM Asia Shenzhen, a leading exhibition and conference for power electronics in Asia, covering intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management. A single visitor registration will provide access to both fairs, allowing participants to explore related technologies and applications across additive manufacturing and power electronics.
